Lake Eufaula Fishing Report. May 17th 2023 This weather has made for some Great fishing over the last week with day time temperatures in the 70s and lows in the 40s. We are now entering some of the best Crappie fishing of the year. Spring is a great time to catch crappie. This weeks report is with Marks guys. These fish were only a few of the many fish caught yesterday on lake Eufaula OK. Were booking a lot of dates for our Spring trips so please plan ahead if your wanting to get in on the bite. Spring is fast approaching and a lot of people are gearing up for fishing. This can be one of the best times of the year to fish. I look forward to it every year. This is one of the things that makes guiding fun for me, Showing clients how its done at different times of year. And What a better way to start off a beautiful morning than learning a few new fishing methods. This past year has been one our best years guiding on Oklahoma lakes an Rivers. Weve had so many great trips meeting new clients and showing them our fishing techniques. Not to mention all of our old fishing friends that some how manage to come back fishing with us year after year. Its always great to see them again. January has came in with the typical Spring weather pattern ( cold ). We have been Crappie fishing over the last week catching a lot of really nice fish. The White Bass have also been biting good so were picking up both types of fish on each trip.. This time of year is our favorite time to be on the Lakes an Rivers using light tackle and jig fishing. Even our Striper trips were using light tackle this can make for some exciting fishing. Most Lakes are higher than normal but lake Eufaula and in great shape. Crappie fishing has been good to excellent over the last week. Were starting to get a lot of bookings for our Crappie trips. So please plan ahead and book in advance if you want a certain date. You can always call to check on dates and we do get cancellations from time to time your date might be open There is a lot of places to stay and eat around the Eufaula area. This weeks fishing report is all Good. Crappie are biting good on jigs and minnows around deep brush piles and rocky banks 8 to 12 ft deep. Large Mouth Bass are biting good in coves and around points. Cat fishing is good on jug lines and Rod An Reel in river channels using cut shad and Worms. White Bass fishing is good on points and humps using spoons and jigs just watch for the Birds. There natures best fish locator. Striper fishing been Great on lake Texoma catching large numbers of fish. The lower Illinois river has been hit and miss but this warmer weather is only going to help there.
